Black Arts of Inubus

Inubus, in the Rosstafarian cosmology, rules all of Hell in defiance of Kong the immortal. Though the earliest known documentation regarding Inubus has been traced to the Amazon Freeholds, modern reference is most prominent among the Ape Sultans. In this culture, parents instill discipline in their young with cautionary tales of Inubus' bottomless appetite for disobedient children. That this is the low on the list of a typical apeling's worries (compared to, say, being eaten by a Jungle Flower) does not seem to lessen the parent's enthusiasm for the myth.

Despite Inubus' obscurity, the mild oath "By the Black Arts of Inubus!" is common across Vanth. The phrase came into popularity as a result of the serialization "Warriors of the Forbidden Waste". The series' protagonist, Doc Zabius, often uttered the curse to express anger, frustration, or disappointment. Exactly what the nature of the Black Arts might be is never examined in detail.
